Dr. Paddy Murphy

Founder & Radiologist

A visionary doctor, entrepreneur, and athlete, Dr. Paddy Murphy is the driving force behind Namrad Radiology, a practice built on excellence, innovation, and best practice. With a sharp mind and an unwavering commitment to challenging the status quo, he has shaped Namrad into a leading diagnostic centre that seamlessly blends cutting-edge radiology with compassionate patient care.

Dr. Murphy is highly regarded for his expertise in interventional radiology, ability to strategically assemble top talent, and belief in trusting people to do their jobs. His leadership has fostered a dynamic, diverse, and high-performing team, making Namrad a benchmark for radiology excellence in Southern Africa.

Beyond medicine, Dr. Murphy has a storied career in endurance sports. Since the 1980s, he has competed as one of Southern Africa’s original triathletes. His passion for pushing limits extends beyond the racecourse. Whether in business, healthcare, or community development, he is dedicated to raising the bar on every level.

Married with three children, Dr. Murphy remains actively involved in community development, education, and sports. He embodies a rare combination of business acumen, medical expertise, and a deep commitment to people. For Dr. Murphy, success is never instant—it is built through vision, persistence, and relentless hard work.

Dr. Puleinge Ihuhua

MB ChB (UCT), FCRad (Diag)(SA)

Radiologist & Partner

Born and raised in Windhoek, Namibia, Dr. Puleinge Ihuhua comes from a legacy of medical pioneers.

Inspired by his father, Dr Thomas Ihuhua, one of Namibia’s first Black doctors who served the low-income and unemployed with empathy and humanity, he pursued medicine at UCT before specialising in radiology at Tygerberg Hospital in South Africa.

He later completed a fellowship in Canada, focusing on abdominal and pelvic imaging, which remains his special interest.

Dr. Ihuhua joined Namrad in 2019, drawn to its culture of excellence, efficiency, and collaboration. He is passionate about delivering precise, clinically relevant reports that ensure doctors receive clear, timely insights into patient care.

He is particularly proud of Namrad’s diverse and inclusive team as a leader, reflecting a modern, evolving Namibia where talent and expertise transcend race, gender, and background.

Beyond radiology, he nurtures his creative side through music and theatre. A talented singer and actor, he dedicates time to a local theatre school, mentoring children and fostering their artistic growth. Guided by faith, gratitude, and purpose, he finds the balance between his medical expertise and creative passions, making an impact both in and beyond the radiology suite.

Dr. Jana Kehrmann

MB ChB (Stell), MD Diagnostic Radiologist(GER)

Radiologist & Partner

Born and raised in Namibia, Dr. Jana Kehrmann pursued medical studies at Stellenbosch University before specialising in radiology in Germany. Initially drawn to internal medicine and oncology, she chose radiology for its problem-solving nature. She likens it to detective work, finding the root cause of medical conditions to provide clear, actionable answers.

During her specialisation, Dr Kehrmann gained cardiac and abdominal imaging expertise, which she has helped develop since joining Namrad in 2018. She became a partner in 2022. Learning to balance medical excellence with organisational growth, she values Namrad’s culture of trust, accountability, and continuous learning.

She played a key role in designing The Light Room, a patient-centred space that prioritises privacy, comfort, and a seamless experience for women undergoing mammography and bone density scans.

Beyond radiology, Dr. Kehrmann is a dedicated triathlete who thrives on physical challenges, balancing her demanding career with an active lifestyle. A devoted mother of two, she prioritises family time and instils in her children the principles of hard work, integrity, and resilience—values that define her approach to work.

With a passion for continuous learning and innovation, Dr. Kehrmann is committed to upholding Namrad’s reputation for world-class radiology, ensuring that patients receive accurate diagnoses and compassionate, human-centred care.

Dr. Francois van Schouwenburg

MB ChB (Pret), FCRad (Diag)(SA)

Radiologist & Partner

A specialist in musculoskeletal radiology, Dr Francois van Schouwenburg brings extensive expertise in orthopaedic and sports injury imaging to Namrad. Dr. Francois van Schouwenburg completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Pretoria in 2003. He completed his Radiology training at Tygerberg Hospital in 2014 before pursuing a Fellowship in Musculoskeletal Imaging in Calgary, Canada, in 2015. Shortly after its founding, Francois joined Namrad in 2016 and became a partner in 2020.

He values teamwork, strong communication, and collaborative work culture, believing that a radiology practice thrives when each specialist contributes their expertise while working together seamlessly. He is particularly passionate about maintaining close relationships with referring doctors, ensuring that diagnoses are not just reports but part of a well-rounded, patient-focused approach to care. Outside of medicine, Dr. van Schouwenburg is an avid cyclist, golfer and outdoor enthusiast. He is a dedicated traveller who enjoys visiting family across South Africa and abroad. His positive outlook on life and belief in living life to the fullest guide his personal and professional journey, ensuring that excellence, balance, and continuous growth remain central to his work at Namrad.

Dr. Cornell Enssle – Radiologist

Radiologist

A dedicated and forward-thinking radiologist, Dr. Cornell Enssle combines technical expertise, clinical insight, and a passion for collaborative medicine.

Dr. Enssle, originally from Rehoboth, studied medicine at the University of Cape Town before completing his internship at Windhoek Central Hospital. His ICU experience made him aware of radiology's critical role in diagnostics, leading him to specialise at Groote Schuur Hospital. After qualifying, he returned to Namibia and modernised state hospital radiology by expanding imaging, fostering interdisciplinary collaboration, and introducing structured academic meetings to improve patient care.

Eager to advance his expertise in MRI, interventional radiology, and cutting-edge imaging techniques, he joined Namrad, where he continues to develop his skills alongside a team of leading specialists. He has a special interest in neuroimaging and is fascinated by the complexities of the brain and its role in human health.

Outside radiology, he is passionate about fitness and personal well-being, enjoys spending time with family, and loves Mexican cuisine.

Guided by his philosophy that every scan represents a patient, not just an image, Dr Enssle remains committed to ensuring that technology serves human lives with accuracy, integrity, and care.

Magda Scholtz

Clinical Manager

With over 30 years of experience in radiography, Magda Scholtz is a cornerstone of Namrad’s clinical operations. Originally from Potchefstroom, South Africa, she studied radiography in Pretoria and transitioned into MRI and CT imaging early in her radiography career.

Her career took her to Saudi Arabia, where she gained valuable experience in hospital management, accreditation processes, and quality control. These skills were later instrumental in Namrad’s COHSASA accreditation, making it the first private radiology practice in Southern Africa to achieve this recognition.

As Namrad’s Clinical Manager, Magda ensures the highest standards of patient care, imaging protocols, and operational efficiency. Although her role has evolved, she remains passionate about mentoring younger radiographers, sharing practical insights and continuously improving workflows. She strongly believes in combining technical excellence with a culture of care, ensuring that patients always feel valued, supported, and at ease.

Outside work, she enjoys spending time with family, travelling, and being creative. Her mantra, “It’s just a bad day, not a bad life,” reflects her resilient, positive outlook—qualities that define her leadership at Namrad and her approach to life.

Celonika Robinson

Finance Manager, Namrad

With nearly 40 years of hands-on experience in finance and administration, Celonika Robinson is a dedicated and detail-oriented professional who thrives on structure, accuracy, and efficiency. Starting her career in admin and bookkeeping, she worked her way up through various financial roles, gaining extensive expertise in accounting, auditing, and financial management.

As Finance Manager at Namrad, Celonika ensures that financial processes run seamlessly, with a strong emphasis on discipline, precision, and timeliness. Her perfectionism and commitment to excellence make her a key pillar of the organisation’s financial integrity. Beyond numbers, she is passionate about mentoring her team, fostering growth, and instilling a culture of accountability.

Outside of work, Celonika is an avid golfer and lifelong sports enthusiast, valuing discipline and balance in all aspects of life. She believes that nothing is impossible and that continuous learning is the key to success.

Tanya Cocklin

Practice Manager

As Namrad’s first employee, Tanya Cocklin has been instrumental in shaping the practice from the ground up. With a Diploma in Cosmetology and a keen eye for people-centred operations, Tanya entered the world of Radiology as an administrator and builder of culture and systems.

Since joining Dr Paddy Murphy in 2015, Tanya has helped grow Namrad from a two-person startup to a thriving team of 46. She ensures the practice operates efficiently, warmly, and with a strong sense of community. She played a key role in designing and selecting staff policies and even Namrad’s admin team signature uniforms, creating a workplace that prioritises professionalism and personality.

Her unwavering reliability is her superpower; if something needs to be done, Tanya ensures it happens.

Beyond her role at Namrad, Tanya is a dedicated mother of two and an active supporter of rugby, athletics, hockey and precision shooting with her family.

Guided by her life mantra, “Walk by faith, not by sight,” she continues to lead with purpose, passion, and an unshakable commitment to excellence.
